Updates and Community

Fletch - Yesterday God brought about some encouraging experiences. In the morning I was finally able t get ou t bouldering. That in itself was much needed. It's god to get on the rock and exhaust myself. It was a confidence building climbing venture. At any rate, I went out there with a guy I work with. We had a lot of fun together and struggled up the rock together, and we also had some good conversation following. Nothing overly spiritual, but we did talk about deep matters in life such as the heart, family, and what it means to be a man. I suppose this was all in preparation for what awaited me after work. I went out to a coffee shop with another friend I work with. This guy is a philosophy major and it is quite easy to venture into deeper waters with him. It was so good, we spent 2 1/2 hours talking all about the depths of Christianity. Everything from the enemy, the heart, grace, sin, salvation, and the afterlife. He was certainly open to all of this, but coming from a all religions together sort of background. It was encouraging for me to take part in. This guy is so humble and willing to hear all that I had to say without becoming closed down or becoming offended. He is a good guy.

This all is to say that God is good. Beyond measure or word, all I have is his and for his glory. I didn't cause these conversations to occur, and there were certainly moments where I was not doing the speaking. The Spirit is certainly here and the time is now.

One more thing that has been strongly on my mind, community. I desire this with more passion and commitment than ever. I want it and I am going to fight for it. Joel and Tess Walker, a community with you is something that I am committed to. Our hearts long for the same things and we know eachothers stories. I am confident in God bring our futures together, along he same path. It is such a beautiful vision, my heart is wrapped up in it. Meg and I are so blessed to have such friends, to have the opportunity to be a part of such a community. I love this adventure.
