Megs - Welcome to our blogger. We are engaged! and very very ci (long i)ted!! We are looking forward to the journey God is going to take us on to get to the alter, and then the rest of our lives! And we don't have the opportunity to see or catch up with everyone, so we figured this would be a good way to stay updated with us.
The date of our weddin is set for May 19. WOOPIE! ha. Fletch is looking at me like i'm an idiot. But I not.
Fletch - Some of you might think that Meg is grammatically inept, nope. It is truly how she talks. Amusing. (Megs just smacked me, she loves me). Anyhows, this week has been rather epic. Battles raging and waiting for us around every turn, it seems. I really think God is opening our hearts. Bring to the surface those places that have been wounded, and uncovering the pieces that we have kept hidden too long. It's amazing how the knowledge of the broken pieces of the heart slip from our minds, but Christ knows just where to press in.
It's hard, but it's good. Meg and I have been awakened to the spiritual realm. The battles are real and fierce, and quite numerous. It is so cool though. The understanding that so much of what happens is a manifestation of the spiritual. So we battle, we cry out to God in those moments and there has not been an instance yet where He has not claimed victory. It is good to be fighting with a God who has already won, who has absolute authority and power of the evil forces of this world. I love it!
God is also awakening the hearts of Meg and myself. We crave the fuller life, the abundant life. We want to love deeper, and bring every decision before God. We want to receive His grace and search out His mysteries. We want depth in our intimacy with Him, to no longer be satisfied with the shallow, unchallenging waters. So, we are learning, and very excited about it. This whole moment in life is exciting and challenging, and full of the wild adventure that I love. God is so good to us, we would have it no other way. Meg and I are really begining to find a harmony between the two of us, and I know it sounds pleasing to Abba.
One last thing, ALASKA! This is tenative, but we are hoping to go there for our honeymoon. We have the choice of kayaking in Prince William Sound, climbing a mountain in the Chugach Range, and backpacking in Denali National Park. Who knows, lots of options, but we don't want to plan for too much, because there are other fun things to do on one's honeymoon (so we hear). I hope you are excited with us, and are praying for us. Nothing can be more valuable than your prayers. HA! ALASKA!!

Hey Fletch! I know I told you I thought your blog is interesting over the phone, and I do not want you to take that the wrong way. I am very proud of you! I could not ask for a better brother or role model. Whether you realized it or not, when I was younger I looked up to you. From copying your hair styles, imitating your actions (Not always good :0) ), to playing the same sports. I am so proud that you are following in the Lords footsteps. It takes a strong person to do that, and I wish I had your strenght. I know we do not see eye-to-eye on some issues, but I just want you to know I love you and I am very proud of you! Congratulations on the engagement! From the little I know of Megan, she seems like a wonderful woman and a perfect match for you and I am so happy for you guys. Best of luck with everything and I shall see you soon!
