Bliss

Megs- I can't believe we are on our honeymoon. First, THANKYOU ALLL so much for cleaning and preparing and everything you did for our wedding.

We kicked off our first night in southwest harbor with a huge lobster and alaskan king crab meal.... Now when we watch Deadliest Catch, we will truly be greatful for there hard work... It was a place that had so much charactor.. it was amazing... everyone knew each other and there were trinkits and junkits everywhere! mmm delicious.
We've settled into 119 Shore Rd. Its incredible.. the tide really does come right up under the back deck. The only sad point of this trip is we can't find any open lobster pounds. Everything is closed around here.. .which sure does make it nice otherwise. no people.
God has really blessed our marriage so far. From taking away pain to small little blessings along the way. We are staying two minutes from the Sea Wall, and we've tide pooled, got a book and learned constelations... now we know what we are looking at, and enjoyed beautiful dense stars.
We also realized while hiking Cadallac Mountian, it was our first hike as a 'couple' and our first hike as marrrrrried people! and this time we made it to the top in only 45 minutes!
Today, well.... we went rock climbing on otter cliffs. It was great.. incredible.. because God really got me through it. We top roped and I belayed from the top.. which for some reason was way more than I alone could handle. But God prevailed, and I was able to belay my husband. Then we moved to this cliff away from the main wall... and here i was scared to ablivian... literally... buuutttt once again.. after shaking, grunting, and crying ...quite a bit, God allowed me to successfully make sure my husband got back up to me. It was also neat cuz I prayed and sang the whole time,, and the first time I asked fletch to find the easiest route back up cuz i was d.U. N. he did.. and he was there in a minute flat... any way .. we are sitting at the Opera House cafe and it costs mulla to be online... so here is my love my husband....

Fletch - Well, my wife pretty much covered it all. I just wanted to mention that we saw a loon today. Unfortunately, we didn't hear it's call, but I suspect God wil bless us with that later. We now have seen 1 of the 2 animals we are looking for, the moose is next. This place is gorgeous, I would say that I wish you were here with us, but I would be lying. It's just us...and we are making the most of it (if you know what I mean). We love you and miss you some.

::sigh:: I miss you both so much! I can't even tell you how beautiful your wedding was... not just the clear skies, the gorgeous weather, the beautiful beyond words bride, the braveheart/lord of the rings forest, the cloaks, bagpipes and guitar, the footwashing and vows, the pine filled barn, and the friends and family... but the love you two have for each other and for Christ! I know God has already and will continue to bless you both individually and now as husband and wife! Praise God for His perfect plan! I'm praying for you both and can't wait to hear about and see pictures of your honeymoon... more specifically MAINE and lobsters! Soak up every moment together, the beautiful sunrise and sunsets, the breathtaking mountains and oceans, the loons and moose, your quiet times and times of deep connection and conversation with your spouse and Christ, and most importantly your intimate times together. Enjoy love and marriage the way God created it... naked and shameless! You are both so blessed and I love you immensely! I love hearing you refer to each other as husband and wife... it makes me grin from ear to ear as I sit here at my computer. Fletch, enjoy Meg in all her beauty, inside and out. Meg, enjoy every moment with Fletch, your warrior and leader! Relax, enjoy God's creation, eat lots of lobster, spend time with Christ as husband and wife, and most importantly... HAVE LOTS OF SEX!!!!! I love you!! ;)

Wooooo!!! from the Mama,
It sure was a long time coming, but I'm happy to say I now have an amazing "son"-in-law! It's so wonderful to hear of your adventurous honeymoon, especially since I can remember so well the beauty and smells of Maine. There is certainly something special about Acadia. How exciting that you're creating your own memories,as husband and wife, of such a spectacular place.

We're all slowly coming back to reality after a busy, but very exciting time preparing for your special day. And, it was the most beautiful, spiritually uplifting and God-centered wedding I've ever been too!!! I've never seen two people more in love with the Lord, and with each other, and excited to be getting married as the two of you (to the point of looking like you were going to jump up and down).

I'm missing my chats with you Meg, but I look forward to hearing about your adventures (and how God has protected you!!) when you get back.

Enjoy your time together. Take it all in; enjoy every moment, every view, every smell, every breeze - all the beauty of God's glorious creation, and, of course, enjoy each other!!! LUV,MAMA
