As Small as a MuStArD SeED
In the car, the three of us ladies were listening to the local Christian station, and they were broadcasting a 2 minute Zealous love mini 'sermon'.
Lily announced, "He's talking about God!".
"Yeah" I responded, "Because he's so in love with God he is telling everyone about it."
"Does he have Jesus in his heart?" Lily asked.
"Yes he does, thats why he's telling everyone about him"
"I want Jesus in my heart......Does Marisol have Jesus in her heart too?"
"Yes" I responded with my own heart pounding in my chest.. and my mind racing..
I added "If you want Jesus in your heart you can pray and he will come in"
"I want to!" she responded
So I told her she needed to say what I said in a prayer.[ A side note here is that, in learning bible verses, Lily will refuse to repeat what I say to learn the verse. Her very independent heart is set in its ways.]
"Dear God" I said.... Lily let out the smallest giggle.. and then it was silent. In my mind I was thinking, I'm not going to push anything here, God's timing not mine. She's too little anyway, right God? About a minute later the silence ended as I heard with authority "Dear God".. and on we prayed. Her Smile was HUGE and my tears were inching their way down my cheeks as we closed the sweetest time in prayer with our Lord.
Faith as small as a mustard seed, that's all it takes. Her journey with the Lord has begun, and I am left speechless. The love and faith of a child blows my mind. She wanted to love God more, so obviously she had to have him in her heart.
To love God more, so simply, just like that. No questions asked, a childlike faith in our Father. With serious action behind it. Imagine if we all lived with that kind of love and faith in Him. The world would fall to pieces.
Now- LETS CELEBRATE!! PRAISE YOU LORD!
As it happened we were testin the new camera and had a fun shoot, about 20 min before we hit the road. Here's our Joy Bug. And newest lover of the Lord.
