Nestled into the couch, watching my belly poke about, as our littlest one is on the move. The fire is going, and the rest of the house is asleep. Its early, but the only two remaining ladies awake in this house are me and bean.
I am constantly amazed and left in awe at the miracle of pregnancy. Growing and bouncing away is our third.. and yet somehow I can't believe that there is truly a bean inside. But oh, she's there, ultrasound shows her lips suckling, and a possible 2nd thumb sucker addition to the family. She's on the small side, possible weight expectancy. 5lbs. She's under the midwife's eyes as the weeks tick on. With her legs being 2 weeks smaller than average... it doesn't surprise me in the least that another precious wee one will be off the charts.. in the negative direction. But everything looks good. Small yes, mighty indeed.
Lily was sitting on my belly tonight, gently pushing away and talking to her sister. Trying desperately to see her and get her to kick. Kicking- completed. Seeing- well, to her great disappointment, lifting up my shirt does not give an aquarium view into Sierrah's living quarters. However Lil was quite relieved to know that she was cozy and warm.
Somehow we've been blessed with two girls that love to be cozy, romp, and cuddle. Lily loves to snuggle in with approximately 3-4 blankies on average..and sit as close as possible, never minding a smudge of personal space. Auty, well, nothing is more delightful than watching her find a book, scoot it across the floor, grabbing blankie on the way, and climb into your lap, thumb popped in, big blues looking up at you asking, Can we read now? She will bulldoze any part of you with her head to nuzzle up and get cozied.
I think its time to snuggle into my own nestled bliss with a partially torn, lumpified, well worn but worth all the little dingle berries on its covering, pregnancy C-pillow, with hopes of some serious sleeping. Hopes are good. Actions would be greater. Ah, but alas.. that is somehow not up to me.
